• 1. When do classes start? When are you closed? When is the Showcase?

    Classes start Monday 9/14 - YAY!! Welcome dancers!
    
    October 31 - no classes Happy Halloween!
    
    November 6-8 Kick closed for Teacher Convention school break
    
    November 22nd last day for Fall session in Oceanport
    
    November 23-28 no regular classes (company has rehearsal on November 22, 24 and 25)
    
    November 30 first day winter session Oceanport
    
    Sunday December 13th Holiday Show!
    
    Holiday Break - December 21-January 4 (company rehearsals tbd)
    
    February 8-13 Kick is closed for Winter Break! (Company will have rehearsals)
    
    February 28th last day winter session Oceanport
    
    March 1st first day spring session Oceanport
    
    March 27-April 2 Kick is closed for Spring Break!
    
    Sunday May 16th Showcase day! Best day of the year!
    
    Saturday May 222nd Last day of Classes for the 26/27 school year both Oceanport and Fair Haven -Happy Summer!!
    
• 2. What do I wear to class?
  • ⭐ Kick Performing Arts 2026/27 Dress Code
    
    Proper dress is imperative for a dancer’s success in the classroom. Please follow the guidelines below.
    
    ✅ All required shoes and dancewear are available for purchase at Kick.
    ✅ Weissman brand shoes are required for quality, support, and uniformity.
    ❌ Please do not purchase shoes from Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.
    
    ✨ Young Dancers (Ages 6 & Under)
    
    Tiny Stars / Movin’ On Up (Mommy & Me): Leotard and tights or leggings and a t-shirt. Bare feet or ballet shoes.
    
    General Classes (under age 6):
    Leotard, tights, and Weissman pink ballet shoes, tan jazz shoes, or tan velcro tap shoes.
    Tutus are permitted.
    Hair should be neatly secured.
    Male dancers: Shorts and solid tee, with black ballet, jazz, or tap shoes.
    
    #DanceClassRemix / Mighty Jazzers → Tan Weissman jazz shoes.
    Building Ballet, Princess Ballet, Tutus & Bowties, Pastel Pop Stars, Rainbow Rockers → Pink Weissman ballet shoes.
    Shake It Up → Pink Weissman ballet shoes and tan Weissman tap shoes.
    
    🎭 Class-Specific Dress Code
    Ballet
    Black leotard, pink tights, Weissman pink ballet shoes.
    Hair in a neat bun.
    No shorts, skirts, or t-shirts (over age 6).
    
    Tap
    Black leotard or black sports bra with shorts and tights.
    Leggings/shorts allowed, but legs must be covered to the knee.
    Ages 9 & under: Weissman tan velcro tap shoes.
    Ages 10+: Weissman, Bloch (Jason Samuels Smith), or Miller & Ben black oxford tap shoes.
    Hair in ponytail or bun (team dancers must wear a bun).
    No t-shirts.
    
    Hip Hop
    Black leotard or sports bra with shorts/leggings and tights. Legs covered to the knee.
    Mini Team, Hip Hop Fun, & Level 1–3: Weissman Sparkle Pop Dance Sneakers.
    Connections & Edge Crews: White Nike Court low tops (only shoes not sold at Kick).
    Hair up.
    Only Connections & Edge dancers may wear sweatpants or t-shirts.
    
    Jazz / Musical Theater / #DanceClassRemix / Dance for Actors
    Black leotard or sports bra with shorts/leggings and tights. Legs covered to the knee.
    Weissman tan jazz shoes.
    Hair in ponytail or bun (team dancers must wear a bun).
    No t-shirts.
    
    Acro
    Black leotard and tights (no sports bras for safe spotting).
    Leggings/shorts okay, but legs covered to the knee.
    Bare feet or Weissman jazz shoes.
    No t-shirts (safety hazard during spotting).
    
    Leaps & Turns, Contemporary, Technique
    Black leotard or sports bra with shorts/leggings and tights. Legs covered to the knee.
    Pirouettes/foot undies or Weissman jazz shoes.
    No t-shirts.
    
    
• 3. How Much are Classes at Kick? Do you offer sibling discounts?
  • Here is our 2026/27 school year tuition!
    
    
    2026/27 Fair Haven tuition We have divided our yearly (September-May) Tuition into 9 payments for your convenience. Our multi class discounts apply per family!
    
    1 class per week 129.00 per month
    
    2nd class is 10% off
    
    3rd class is 15% off
    
    
4th class is 20% off
    
    5th class is 30% off
    
    6th class is 40% off
    
    and your 7th class (and every subsequent class) is 55% off !
    
    Oceanport Tuition $425 per class for our 3 month session September 14-November 22
• 4. Can I try a class before I register?  Can I switch classes after I have enrolled?
  • Kick offers free try it classes to all new students!  To schedule a try it class just email Vanessa@Kickstudio.com or call Janet at 732 383 5301 and we will set you up!
    
    Should your schedule change we offer free transfers to any open class!  (Please note once we order showcase costumes on January 1st it might be more challenging to switch classes - but we will always try!) To make a change, just email Vanessa@Kickstudio.com or call Janet at 732 383 5301!  Easy peasy!
• 5. What does my first payment cover?
  • Our tuition is either fall only $425 (Oceanport) or for our school year programs (Fair Haven) is divided into 9 payments or $129. At enrollment our system bills you first and last month payment, plus a $39 annual membership fee. If you choose our Fall Only program, you are billed for the session in full (through November)
