“Shine On” Kick Showcase 2026

We are so excited to present our 25th annual showcase

Shine On

Saturday May 16th 2026

Click here for our 2025 show recap video!

We are over the moon excited for our 2026 showcase!

Dance is a performance art, and the showcase is like our big game! Our teachers have worked hard choreographing routines that re-enforce basics, introduce new skills, and provide an opportunity to develop perforce skills.  Our dancers have worked so hard this year and are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to do what dancers do – PERFORM!!  We can’t wait to see all the amazing moments and memories created by our dancers!  Please note the information below is subject to change and will be finalized in April!

Ticket Sales

Ticket sales are scheduled to start on Tuesday April 21st at 12PM sharp. Tickets are ONLY sold though the Count Basie Box office. For best availability choose online, but if you go in person you will save the Ticketmaster fees.  Here is the link! https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1D00648DA2FF3DA5

Please note the link will not show tickets until noon on 4/21.

Tickets sell VERY VERY fast – think like Taylor Swift Eras tour fast. If you go online around noon and it looks sold out – please try again. We have families who put multiple tickets in their carts then purchase less so those tickets pop back up. We are kindly asking families not to hold tickets as we can be sure everyone gets to see their favorite dancers!!
One ticket is good for all 3 acts!  (order of the show will not be available until May)

By fire code everyone needs a ticket (except performers who are accounted for)  including kids under 2.

Reminder – photo and video are not permitted at Showcase. Each family will receive a free digital download of the entire show! Professional video is our gift to you!! Please put your phone down and enjoy all of our amazing dancers!  They have worked so hard all year!  We will be very strict on the no photo or video policy this year for your dancer’s safety – no exceptions.

Seating and the Order of the show!

Kick makes every effort to make the recital a fun day for both the dancers and the families.  Each act is about an hour and fifteen minutes long.   At the end of each act we dismiss dancers who have finished performing for the day from youngest to oldest.  At the end of each act, dancers are dismissed in order to allow every parent to enjoy their child’s performance.  (If we dismiss during the show, your view of your child could be obstructed from other families getting up!)  A variety of dance styles and ages are presented in each act.  This is for both the audience’s entertainment, but also to have a mix of ages backstage and to allow our dancers in multiple classes adequate time to change.  Our tiniest dancers need the most attention!!

Dress Rehearsal Week May 4-9

In order to make dress rehearsals a breeze and stress free we have rehearsals during classes the week of May 4-8! During the week of May 4-9 we will have only showcase and competition classes (no technique only classes this week, competition company will have rehearsal for finale). A few class times may change slightly, please check back in May for an exact schedule.
Please arrive to class wearing your costume, tights (as listed below), dance shoes (the correct ones for class), and have your hair and makeup done as listed below! If your dancer has more than one dance in an afternoon, please have the second costume in a well labeled (your child’s name!) garment bag and we can help with changes!
